MICWOOD™ was built for a specific problem: high-viscosity liquids edible oils, pharmaceutical syrups, glucose solutions where large organic molecules need to be adsorbed quickly but micropore-dominant carbons do not have enough accessible pore volume to do it efficiently. Pine wood, chemically activated with phosphoric acid, produces the mesopore-rich structure that makes this possible.
The result is a PAC with a uniquely high total pore volume and methylene blue value that consistently outperforms coal and coconut shell alternatives in colour removal benchmarks at equivalent dose rates. Available in three iodine-graded variants M900, M1000, and M1100 so you can match the grade precisely to your application’s performance target.

When the plant is consuming powdered carbon in tonnes per month wastewater colour removal, ACI mercury capture, large-scale decolourisation the conversation inevitably comes back to value per unit of adsorption capacity. MICBLAC™ is our answer to that conversation.
Produced by steam activation of high-quality coal under stringent conditions, MICBLAC™ has a balanced meso/macro pore structure that works across both liquid and gas-phase applications. Iodine values up to 1100 mg/g, 90% passage through 200 mesh, controlled bulk density for consistent volumetric dosing. Three grades available so your procurement team can match the specification to performance requirement and not over-specify, or under-specify.

Coconut Shell Powdered Activated Carbon

When the application demands maximum micropore density, low ash, and a clean performance profile pharmaceutical API purification, sugar and glucose refining, food-grade edible oil processing coconut shell is the only acceptable PAC source. Triple-washed, steam-activated, and ground to 100–325 mesh. Iodine values of 800–1,100 mg/g confirm the micropore density that drives performance in pharmaceutical and high-purity applications. Ash content below 5% ensures no inorganic carry-over into sensitive downstream processes.
