Manganese dioxide (MnO₂) is an inorganic oxidation catalyst that removes dissolved iron, manganese, hydrogen sulphide, and arsenic from groundwater. It oxidises dissolved Fe²⁺ and Mn²⁺ to insoluble Fe³⁺ and Mn⁴⁺ forms, which precipitate out and are removed by downstream filtration a mechanism proven across decades of groundwater treatment, not a new chemistry we’re asking you to trust for the first time.
We supply four grades 30%, 50–55%, 70–75%, and 80%+ covering the full spectrum from basic groundwater treatment to demanding arsenic removal applications. Every grade is tested for actual MnO₂ content before dispatch. We do not blend inferior material to hit a price point and label it to a higher grade the number on the bag is the number in the media.
Compatible with both continuous and intermittent regeneration: in continuous systems, potassium permanganate (KMnO₄) is dosed to continuously restore oxidation capacity; in intermittent systems, periodic backwashing with KMnO₄ solution does the same job. Our media is certified for both.
