Coconut Shell Powdered Activated Carbon
When the application demands maximum micropore density, low ash, and a clean performance profile pharmaceutical API purification, sugar and glucose refining, food-grade edible oil processing coconut shell is the only acceptable PAC source. Triple-washed, steam-activated, and ground to 100–325 mesh. Iodine values of 800–1,100 mg/g confirm the micropore density that drives performance in pharmaceutical and high-purity applications. Ash content below 5% ensures no inorganic carry-over into sensitive downstream processes.
ISO 9001:2015 · NSF/ANSI 61 · USP / EP Grade Available
The pharmaceutical and food industry’s preferred PAC.
Not every PAC application calls for the same pore structure. When the target is a small molecule dissolved organics, pharmaceutical impurities, trace contaminants in high-purity water micropore-dominant carbon is what performs. And when the application also demands low ash, a clean leachable profile, and food or pharmaceutical certification, coconut shell is the only acceptable source material.
Our coconut shell PAC is produced by triple-washing and steam-activating premium coconut shells, then grinding to fine powder typically 100 to 325 mesh. The powder form eliminates diffusion distance as a limiting factor: contaminants reach the carbon surface almost instantly on contact. The coconut shell source delivers the maximum micropore density, ash content below 5%, and the clean performance profile that pharmaceutical and food-grade applications cannot compromise on.
This is the grade pharmaceutical buyers specify for API decolourisation, food manufacturers specify for sugar and edible oil purification, and water engineers specify for applications where inorganic contamination from high-ash alternatives introduces unacceptable quality risk.

Where MICBLAC™ is specified.
Specified in applications where large-molecule adsorption capacity, cost efficiency at scale,
and dual liquid/gas-phase performance define the grade requirement.
Municipal Wastewater Dosing
Slurry dosing for COD reduction, colour removal, pharmaceutical micro-pollutants, and trace organics in municipal STP operations. Standard specification for large treatment plants consuming tonnes per month.
Mercury Removal — Flue Gas (ACI)
Injected activated carbon for mercury capture and dioxin/furan removal in coal-fired power stations and waste-to-energy plants. Accepted ACI standard for regulatory compliance.
Emergency Water Dosing
Rapid deployment for taste, odour, pesticide, or algal toxin events in drinking water treatment plants. Dosable within hours — no infrastructure change required.
Industrial Effluent Treatment
Chemical, textile, tannery, and pharmaceutical effluent COD and colour reduction before biological treatment or discharge to receiving water.
Sugar & Starch Decolourisation
High methylene blue coal PAC for colour removal in sugar refining and starch processing where MICWOOD™ performance is not required and cost efficiency drives the specification.
Pharmaceutical Wastewater
Removal of pharmaceutical residues, API traces, and organic colour from manufacturing effluent before environmental discharge.
